At Coconix, we understand how daunting it can be to begin any kind of home repair. Its hard. We get that. We started there. Not knowing what were the right steps to take, what were the right materials, if the repairs were going to actually work, or would they just ruin the item we were trying to fix all together. We didn’t have the money to spend on going to professional upholsters. But we did realise we had a passion for repairing and restoring items. A passion for creating and a passion for creating products that are easy to use and help give people the confidence to tackle more repairs! 

We started with our leather repair kits and have expanded our ranges to include our fabric and carpet repair kit, floor and furniture repair kit and our recoloring balm. We have so much in the works and we can’t wait to keep releasing repair kits out into the world! If only there was more than 24 hours in the day.  

WHY DID WE START COCONIX? 

Back in 2014 when we tried to fix our second hand leather couch. That’s where it began! In the living room of our one bedroom flat we could just afford. 

Salvaging second hand items slowly became something that we lived for! Soon enough, we had turned our empty,  one bedroom flat into such an amazing space, just by using only salvaged items. We hate the idea that thousands of items of furniture simply get sent to the dump because they have a little tear or a bump. There was so much that went into making that product that it just didn’t and still doesn’t make sense to use to throw it away. 

We realised how hard it was to start each new repair project. Each repair took so much time to research and find the right kind of products to use and then we had to figure how to do it. There was just so much information out there and different products that we got overwhelmed. 

We realised it didn’t have to be this hard! We noticed that there was a lack of all in one repair kits that gave you ALL you needed, plus clear instructions as well. So that’s where we decided to step in. Since our passion has always been salvaging items and doing repairs. We thought - what better way than to start Coconix! 

When it comes to repairs, we’ve been through it all and have so much to offer! 

WHY REPAIR PRODUCTS?

To say we are passionate about repairs and restorations, would be an understatement. It's more of an obsession, really. We personally think that repairing items on your own brings so much satisfaction and appreciation for your items. The planet also really appreciates it too when you give old items a second life!
