I bought your product twice and think it worked great. BUT your constant emails are very annoying. Please take me off of your email list. I know where to find you when I need your product again. Thank you.
The movers I hired ripped my 20 year old brown leather sofa during a recent move. The tear was an inch long on either side. After walking around my storage unit swearing loudly when I noticed the tear, I calmed down and looked for repair options. After much research and many videos later I settled on the Coconix Repair Kit specifically for brown leather.
It worked great! The color matching was easy, the spatula worked great for moving the base patch around. I used maybe a little bit more compound than required and it was "bubbly/wavy" a few days after the repair. I wanted the patch to be sound as it's right on the seat where people's butts land so it needed to be a sturdy patch. And it is. The wavy/bubbly aspect is mostly gone. I suspect the compound is now fully dry and set after three days.
$23 well spent. An excellent value for sure!!!!
Thanks for a great product and great customer service.
Oh and there is enough compound for about 10 more patches of this size. At least. Hopefully, I won't need it!
I'm so happy I found Coconix! I had a small hole in an expensive stool that was (surprisingly) made out of bonded leather. Everything online said that bonded leather was irreparable except for Coconix. So I was skeptical. Not only did the kit contain everything I needed, but the customer service is superb. They pretty much held my hand. I did not even have to mix the browns to achieve a color match - the chocoate was spot-on. Anyway, long story short, the repair is practically undetectable. I am thrilled! Thank you!!
It does seem to do the job, but use it sparingly. I ended up taking a lot off with a rubbing alcohol pad. It's a good idea to practice on an area of leather that isn't seen so easily, and practice getting the right sheen.
