How much spare time do you have?
DIY repairs can be quick but there are projects that can be very time-consuming. Every repair is unique so you must evaluate whether you have the time available to complete this DIY repair yourself.
How severe is the damage?
We ask this because the severity of the damage might alter the amount of time that is necessary to complete the repair. Coconix repairs are usually very quick and easy - however, we do like to caution that in some cases it can be timely! The depth of the damage can mean that you will need to apply multiple layers, and this can make the process go longer! Coverage/How Many Uses:
The coverage of our 10-Color Kit approximately ranges from small (area measures less than or equal to 1”x1”) to large (area measures around 10”x 10”) simple leather damage.
For the black and brown leather repair kits, one kit can fix a small (area ≤ 1”x1”) to extra large (area = 20”x 20”) simple leather damage. It can also be used on a small (area ≤ 1”x1”) to large (area = 10”x 10”) severe leather damage.
As the damage severity worsens, the coverage decreases. This is because severe damages require more layers of repair compound. No worries, if you run out of repair compounds, our Coconix Support Team is available to assist you and help you complete your repair!
